Thoughts about Mumbai
I just cannot understand why Mumbai (for that matter any city in India) needs to have so many malls, sad but true there seems to be a mall springing up wherever there is space!
Really why do we need so many?
I do not understand the vagaries of economics although it does make sense that investors would invest only in rich returns.
Since the mall culture is still in its infancy in India, everyone is excited about it but what about when it becomes a norm then where would people go for entertainment?
Not the mention, it does feel like we are teaching the new generation to splurge, spend like there is no tommorrow.
I wish instead of mall hopping we could go to a museum there, an art gallery here, spend sometime in the library, indulge in a sport at the sports club.... aaaah the joys of dreaming!
