When Food is no longer food

sigh, I am tired of reading yet another magazine proclaiming, 10 ways to a healthier and happier life and the first line being ... eat more carbs.. and then ...get atleast 8 gms of fiber..

Well we are being programmed to look at food with the lens of carbs, fibers, sugar, calories, saturated fats....
as opposed to just Fresh and unprocessed.
We humans have become so adept at dissecting food, processing it to the highest extent possible, devoiding it of many nutrients and then artificially adding back again what we think is good.
makes me kinda laugh.

anyways....here is a very interesting and informative article from NYTimes about food in our times!

You might like reading about weston price foundation and sally fallon's nourishing traditions.

Both have done great research into how food was eaten traditionally and how deviating from that devoids all nutrition from that.
