Life Express
life in the past few months has been fast paced and invigorating.
It usually starts with coffee breakfast office followed by a gym session or a tennis session.
I usually have a tennis match at least once a week mostly twice, a women's doubles match or a mixed doubles match. I recently took up cycling class at the gym,it is cycling with music. I used to cycle a lot when I was younger. This is very different, I joined this to build my stamina. I usually run once a week in gym about 2.5 miles.
To talk about my tennis, what started as a evening time pass has become an all consuming passion in the recent times. Tennis is not just a physical game, it is a mind game as well.
During a match your chances of winning depends on how badly you want to win.
The crux is tennis brings out the true me on a court. I learn things about myself when I am on a tennis court. I think it has shaped my character as I went along.
Sometime ago during a women's doubles match there was "situation", one of our opponents made some rude remark about me. It really put me off, but I kept my cool during the match. (we lost because we ran out of time and they won by virtue of being ahead in the total number of games) After the match I was in the locker room and I felt like just sitting there and crying, it was a sick moment. In a few minutes I made up my mind walked back to the other team and gave her a piece of her mind. At the end of it I was proud the way I handled myself. I was not rude but I saw to it that I wasn't walked over.
I am glad that my life is interspersed with moments of elation, dejection, the moments where I want to give it all, the moments which make me look back and say wow that was cool.
